By creating an account or using ArthorLoft ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.
ArthorLoft provides a platform for authors to create and manage their own author websites, including book catalogs, reader newsletters, and digital sales. We provide tools; content and responsibility for that content remain with the individual author.
You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.
ArthorLoft offers free and paid subscription plans. Paid plans are billed on a recurring basis. You authorize us to charge your payment method on each billing date. Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled before the renewal date. Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis.
You retain all rights to content you upload or create on the platform (book descriptions, cover images, blog posts, etc.). By uploading content, you grant ArthorLoft a limited, non-exclusive license to display and deliver that content as necessary to operate the Service.
ArthorLoft and its logo, design, and platform software are owned by ArthorLoft and protected by intellectual property laws.
You agree not to: - Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms - Upload content that infringes third-party intellectual property rights - Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the Service - Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service - Use the Service to send unsolicited communications (spam) - Impersonate any person or entity
Authors who sell digital goods through ArthorLoft are solely responsible for fulfilling those sales, providing accurate product descriptions, and complying with applicable consumer protection laws. ArthorLoft acts as a platform intermediary only.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms. You may cancel your account at any time. Upon termination, your public site will be taken offline and your data will be retained for 30 days before deletion.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, ArthorLoft shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service.
These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the applicable jurisdiction, without regard to conflict of law principles.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify users of material changes by posting a notice on the platform. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
